totally unrelated to beauty, but
i have this problem.
and it's only plagued me in the last year...
i start a book.
a brilliant (or sometimes not so brilliant *cough* LA Candy), riveting, sensational, emotional, dramatic, humorous read and then,
boom.
halfway or not even halfway through the book, i stop.
then, that same week, or a month later, i start a new book.
currently, i am in the middle of...5 books!
Loving Frank,
Monsters of Templeton,
All We Ever Wanted Was Everything,
LA Candy (i REFUSE to finish this one),
The Art of Racing in the Rain
count 'em. five!
and i stupidly thought it would be a good idea to start ANOTHER book yesterday at the park
(only got 1 page in and fell asleep in the sun, so i don't think that counts).
and to top this off, i have 5+ "must reads" stewing on my bookshelf
(or in this oh so simple noggin' of mine).
so maybe im just so anxious and excited to read the next book, i can never finish with the first.
what is my deal!?
help, please.
and what are your favorite reads!?

xo,
I just finished The Art of Racing in the Rain...it took me awhile to get into it, but it is a wonderful book. Try it again, hopefully you won't be disappointed!
ReplyDeleteLOVE:
ReplyDeleteWater for Elephants
Shadow of the Wind (hard to get into, but deliriously good once started!)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (there are 3 of them- AMAZING)
I am a good book FIEND... hope you enjoyed the Portland sunshine my dear!
Also, just got some Dior mascara... I'll never go back to pink and green...
That's funny. I am not a reader, but I picked up Eat, Pray, Love about 6 weeks ago. I am enjoying it and contemplating my next read. I have, no doubt, that I would never be able to juggle 5 at a time. Perhaps you can decide which on you are furthest along on and finish that one up this weekend. Maybe that will help you decide what to pick up next? Good luck oh happy reader!
ReplyDeletethanks, girls! i adored Eat Pray Love, read that last summer.
ReplyDeleteZ, Water for Elephants was the book i started in the park (but then fell asleep) on! i've also heard awesome things about Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
ah, much to read...
